AN ALTERNATIVE FOR THOSE WHO CAN'T GIVE UP THE TASTE OF CLASSIC COFFEE: AMERICANO

Americano is one of the popular coffees preferred by those who like coffee softer. Just like Turkish coffee named after Turkey, the story of Americano named after Americans is as follows..

Americano first emerged in Italy where American soldiers are stationed during World War II. The soldiers found espresso too strong and asked for a softer coffee. Italian baristas added water to the espresso to provide the soldiers with a softer coffee. This new coffee was named "Caffe Americano". The Americano, which was first popular in Italy, has gained popular recognition around the world over time.

How is it prepared?

Americano is the result of softening espresso with water while preserving its taste and aroma. A shot of espresso and hot water are added in a 1:1 ratio into a cup of Americano. With the intensity of the espresso, the Americano becomes a stronger coffee than brewed coffees and a softer coffee compared to espresso. With its consistency and light taste, it is a good alternative for those who do not typically consume espresso. The key to preparing an Americano is the freshness of the ground coffee beans and water temperature between 90 and 95 degrees.
